Auditory neuropathy

I'm an audiologist working with 2 families whose kids have been diagnosed 
with auditory neuropathy. What are the experiences and opinions of those of 
you who are familiar with this condition? (I am familiar with Berlin's work 
in New Orleans and with the Mayo Clinic.)
