Subject: Hamilton syringes
I've just inherited a lab that uses the hamilton syringe to load gels. I'm
noticing that these are very delicate things. A problem they started
right before I came here is sudden stops and starts when loading. As you
image it is having some disastrous results on our gels. Not to mention the
actual plungers themselves. (We lost three) Is there a way to make them
better? My predeccessor always stored the syringe full of isopropanol.
that be a problem?
