SEQUENCING TECHNICIAN - MOUSE SEQUENCING PROJECT AT THE HGMP-RC

A Sequencing Technician is required to work on the mouse sequencing project
which has been established for two years at the HGMP-RC and aims to sequence
3 Mb of Mouse X (Ids-Dmd).
There is an opportunity to join this group, initially for the remainder of
this high profile project (until 30 September). The successful applicant
will take part in all the activities involved in the generation of genomic
sequence from the creation of sub-libraries to the running of automated
sequencers and post-run data process. This entails standard molecular
laboratory procedures (ligation, transformation, plasmid preps, PCR,
sequencing).
A hard working attitude and the ability to work in a team are a must.
Biolocical laboratory experience and/or a vocational qualification are
essential, knowledge of automated sequencing an advantage.
Salary will be in the range of 10,900 to 15,400 pounds per annum depending
on qualifications and previous experience.
