MOLECULAR LABORATORY MANAGER (permanent, RBGE-funded post)
Grade C/D (under review)
GBP 12,064 - 22,100 per annum

An experienced technician is required in the Scientific and Technical 
Services Department to manage the Molecular Laboratory and to support a 
variety of plant molecular systematic research projects and educational 
activites. Main duties include supervision of the laboratory,  providing 
technical advice to the numerous users of the facility (staff, MSc and
PhD 
students), curation of a plant DNA bank and associated computerised 
database, maintaining a small algal culture collection, and arranging
the 
supply of molecular laboratory consumables and equipment maintenance and 
repairs.

Candidates should have a higher degree (minimum MSc or equivalent) in
plant 
molecular genetics, plant biotechnology or a related field, and have a 
minimum of five years experience in molecular techniques including
automated
