The HGMP Resource Centre, located on the Genome
Campus in Hinxton, near Cambridge, is to play a
central role in a large scale UK-wide Comparative
Genomics project. We are looking for Finishers and
Sequencing Technicians to participate in this high
profile project.
Finishers (Ref: HGMP/9920)
We have five positions available for Finishers to
assemble and edit sequence to 99.99% accuracy whilst
leading two or three clone projects simultaneously to
agreed schedules.
Candidates should have several years' relevant
experience and be able to demonstrate a meticulous
approach to work faced with demanding deadlines.
Experience of automated sequencing and sequence
assembly programs would be advantageous. The starting
salary will be in the range of 13,670-19,000 pounds per
annum (MRC pay band 5) depending on qualifications
and previous experience.
All posts will be for three years in the first
instance and an optional MRC Pension Scheme is
available.
