Binning programs, anyone?

We are analyzing fingerprint autorads and need software to assign
digitized bands to equal mobility classes (=possible alleles).
A program would optimally allow one to iterate through bins of
different widths as a function of measurement accuracy.  The
preferred platform is Mac, but DOS would be great.  Any help would
be appreciated.
