See David Eisenberg, Michael Gribskov and Roland Luethy's 3D Profile method. 
The first step in creating a 3D Profile involves calculating "environment"
parameters for every residue --- should corelate pretty well with access'.  I
believe Dr. Eisenberg's secretary handles distribution of the software.  Dr.
