Phylogenetic software

Hi,
I'm posting the following question for a friend;

Is there a posting on the net that compares/contrasts various 
phylogentic programs ie phylip, clustalv (phylogenetic part) PAUP??
How are they different? What else is available? Perhaps this is
an FAQ, any information would be much appreciated,thanks.
