No, it's not quite that bad. They're in TIFF, but it's a 16-bit
grayscale variant that isn't a standard TIFF type. NIH-Image 1.52
will read these files. Also, I've modified John Bradley's xv
(Unix/Xwindows image viewer) to handle MD 16-bit grayscale TIFF.
