Metabolic pathways

Could anyone please advice on software suitable for drawing metabolic
pathways. A database based program where you can enter reactions and
activate reactions as you go along would be great. Add a flexible
drawing interface where you can place membrane bounderies, text,
numbers  etc. would be ideal. However, any suggestions on how people
go about drawing pathways are greatly appreciated.
