Need Database Software

Are there any database programs that relate DNA sequences, plasmid maps and
biological information.  I would like a means to track plasmid constructions
and be able to search the database for relevant information.  We are mostly
a Mac shop networked with Pathworks on a Vax.  We also run GCG under VMS. I
would rather have one that runs on the Vax with an interface usable from the
Mac.
