MacPattern v3.5 available

Version 3.5 of MacPattern is now available from
ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/software/mac or from sumex-aim.stanford.edu.

Only a few significant changes:
- Fat binary, i.e., runs native on PPC and 68K Macs.
- Now supports position-specific scoring matrices using pseudo-count method
  as used in BLOCKS Release 8
- Results are now linked back to database entries (new Go To command)

MacPattern is a Macintosh application for protein pattern searches (using
PROSITE) and block profile searches (using BLOCKS).
