In a P.C. you can have UNIX and MS-DOS Windows at the same time.

Matthew,

I would like to second this opinion. I am running DOS, Linux, and Windows
all on the same platform for 3 years now. And I am *EXTREMELY* happy with it.
Although you may be able to run Linux on a Mac as well (I believe a port
to Macintosh is in the works), you may be better off to by a PC since
components and upgrades offer you more performace for your $$$. If you
are technically minded and you are not scared of UNIX, this is definitely
the way to go. You'll enjoy unbeatable flexibility and performance for
the same amount of money.

There is more sci. software available for Linux and Windows then you will
ever need. My choice: go for a PC.
