PICT to GIF

Clip2Gif is a reasonable converter that should be available at your Favourite 
FTP Site (tm).  This, unlike Graphicsconverter, is freeware.

For preference, I use Adobe Photoshop for that sort of thing - but we need 
that for our work, so I didn't pay for it! :_))
