I have written a Windows 3.1 program for protein sequence editing and analysis.
This is a shareware program. The program is called PROTEIN.EXE and can be
found at following sites as PROT-SA.ZIP

The program is a sequence editor which can open any ASCII file. The user highlights
the sequence or the portion of the sequence the user wishes to analyze. The software
can calculate the following ...

	... Amino acid composition
... Hydrodynamic data, Sedimentation coeff., Stoke's radius ( assume globular shape )
	... Mass table for various isotope labels ( C13, N15, D20 )
... Charge vs pH and isoelectric point
	... Esitimate UV-spectrum fro 230nm to 320nm
	... Relative Hydrophobicity
... Secondary structure using Garnier's method
... Estimate Circular Dichroic spectrum from secondary structure

The user may also input addtional information to be used in the calculations.
These inputs are Isotope labels, number of disulfide bonds, phosphorylation, and
any cuts in the peptide backbone.

The program inculds a DNA sequence editor and Translator and a number of calculators and
worksheets to aid the user. These are ...

		... Invoke the Windows calculator
... Molecular weight calculator with the periodic table
... Estimate the absorbance extiction coeff. ( at 280nm ) for
			an average native protein
... Solve for mass from hydrodynamic data
... List a search table of mass changes for over 300 protein modifications

A registered version of this program is availible with more features.
Please see the shareware version for more details.
