Sequence annotation

A colegue is starting a mini sequenceing project. about 6 10kb reagions 
from a few different species.

I was wondering what sort of software is available to maintain the contigs 
and also to annotate them so the output look much like this

i dont care what platform win98 or mac is best, but linux or other UNIX 
flavour can be dealt with.

Just a thought but would it be a good idea to use some sort of [bio] tag in 
the subject to float over the spam in these groups?
