Hi Jeroen,

a normal blastdb file consists of 4 files:

x		# <== !!
x.nhr
x.nin
x.nsq

So if you created this database with the command formatdb -i x -p F, 'x'
is the multifasta file _and_ the database name to search against.

This means, in your case 'x' is the multifasta file your looking for.
There's no need to extract this file ...
