GDE software

Hello I try to use GDE 2.2a on Linux. I downloaded a version for Linux in 
BioAfrica site.
I can launch the program but it doesn't want to read a sequence, it closes 
itself.
I think it's a Xview problem.
Have you a solution or a GDE version which works on Linux ?
