info on tourette syndrome research?

i am looking for information on genetic research as it pertains
to tourette syndrome.

my concern is for our children when my fiancee and i get married
and decide we want to have children.  he has mild tourette syndrome
(TS).  I do not.  Is there research that is going on to determine if
I am a carrier...or even what chromosome the syndrome is carried on?
is there a way for genetic testing to be done for our children before
they are  born.  from generation to generation do symptoms worsen or
lessen?  

if these questions can not be answered my the NG perhaps some guidance
could be offered.
