If 21 is the smallest, why doesn't he have number 22?
Because they were sized by eyeball ad not the precise measurements we have
today. Hence the mistake was uncovered. Once genes/syndromes were identified
and correlae with banding patterns it was too late the change the number.
Everyone associated Down's with 21 and to change it to 22 would have resulted
in massive confusion.
