chromosome 13

I have a rare disease called Dercums.  I understand it is linked to 
chromosome 13.  A researcher in Belgium, Dr. Erik Schoenmakers, was the 
author of an article researching this.  Does anyone know how to find this or 
other related information.  The disease is devastating and many of us are 
hoping to find it
