Consider the fact that you are dealing with polysachharidic layer. You
may contact Dr. Anne Camper at the national biofilm research center at
Montana State U. in Bozeman. Isolation techniques aime at sugars is a
good start.

How are you microscopy skills? My company has interest in microscopy of
biofilms as an indicator tool to be used to asses the effect of chemical
treatment programs on such films.
