Hygienic Finishes and Biodeterioration of Surfaces
13-14th September 1999.
Organised by: Steven Percival, Jimmy Walker and Brian McCarthy.
This one and a half-day conference will cover microbiological cross
infection of surfaces in the food, water and medical industries and has
been arranged at University College Chester on 13 - 14th September
1999.The first afternoon will cover biofouling and biodeterioration of
different materials used in the water industry and will be followed in the
evening by the Conference Dinner. The second day will start off exploring
colonisation of surfaces in the food industry and look at mechanisms of
control while the afternoon session will look at cross infection of
materials and surfaces used in the medical industry. The afternoon
session will be supported by the British Textile Technology Group (BTTG).
Accommodation:
The meeting will take place at the University
of Chester where accommodation will also provided.
Call for Posters:
This is an open call for research groups to submit posters for the
conference.
Please send a 150 200 word abstract (times roman 12) to Dr. Steven
Percival in the first instance.
