Hello Mr. Wright,<br><br>I'll begin by apologizing if I have addressed you incorrectly, I came across your name in a rather dated (1997) correspondence with George O'toole when searching for a good way of enumerating the viable cells in a biofilm. The method you describe to Mr. O'toole (employing sonication of cells followeed by dilution) sounds perfect my intended application;enumerating the E. coli cells from a biofilm in a microplate, and was hoping that you may have on hand a reference for the protocol you described.
