DNA/Protein Database E-mail Network Server in Japan

12/09/8 DNA Data Bank of Japan

Now, DNA/protein database server for e-mail networks is available from
DNA Data Bank of Japan.

Services provided are functions of database search and retrieval.
For details, see a brief manual attached below.

DDBJ is a governmental organization which was established three years ago
to collect DNA data and to provide research tools to research communities.
Our data collection of DNA is done in collaboration with GenBank and
EMBL Data library. DNA data entered at each site are exchanged between them
by using e-mails.

Under such a collaboration, the GenBank database at the DDBJ includes
the most recent data entries entered by GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ; it is updated
twice a day.

Our site will be reached through Internet, UUNET and Bitnet.
