Tropical Lumber

I'm looking for information on production of tropical lumber in
plantations of integrated with agricultural crops in an agroforestry
situation.  Does anyone know of any attempts to do this?  There
seems to be a lot of information out there on charcoal and pole
production, but I've yet to locate anything on high quality tropical
lumber.  I'd really appreciate any help you could give me on this!
