Thank you very much for reading.

____/~ WHY MUST THE VETERINARY SCHOOL STAY IN ALFORT ? ~\____
/\~~\ (AS IT IS FROM 1765) /~~/\
The so-called "decentralisation" of french government's policy should
consist of moving some administrations or schools from Paris to other
french cities like Toulouse, Nantes, Strasbourg, Marseille, Brest
or Metz, ... in order to free Paris city or to "develop" the other cities.
This can be justified in certain cases. For example, when an administration
needs more room (the French Meteorology School has been relocated in
Toulouse for this reason).
However, in certain cases, this is not justifed. For example, when the
administration under consideration depends a lot on its scientific or
historical environment.
As is the case with the "Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort" in Paris. This
school is one of the best veterinary school in the world. It is one of the
oldest school in Europe (created in 1765).
This school is doing a lot of research and cooperates with parisian
hospitals, laboratories like the Institut Pasteur, the CNRS (National Center
for Scientific Research), INSERM (National Institut for Health and Medical
Research) and various museums. The school also has a student
exchange program with veterinary schools in various countries like Belgium,
Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.S.A., ...
Its speciality is to treat domestic animals and this speciality has
great repercussions in the understanding of human medicine. A big
city like Paris is ideal for this speciality.
This school needs such an ideal environment to continue its research,
training and consultations for domestic animals.
For this reason, the students and professors of the Veterinary School of
Maisons-Alfort school are asking for signatures, in order to stop this
dangerous action ...
Please send a letter or a fax with your signature asking that the
Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort must not be relocated to:
Professor CRESPEAU, GRANDJEAN, WOLTER and PARODI
ECOLE VETERINAIRE
7, Avenue du General De Gaulle
94704 MAISONS-ALFORT Cedex
FRANCE
Phone: +33 1 43 96 71 12 / +33 1 43 68 56 08
Fax : +33 1 43 96 71 45
Thank you very much for your help (we need it !),
