Cockroaches & Biological Clocks

I have recently read about some experiments done in the 1960's by

Janet Harker which involved cockroaches.  It seems that by locating

and manipulating those cells which controlled the organisms'

biological clocks, and altering their day/night cycle, she was able to

induce neoplasia at the level of the roach digestive tract.  The

reference to her work appeared in a book called "The Book Of Time",

edited by Colin Wilson and published by Westbridge Books, Copyright

1980.  My question is this:  Has anyone out there ever heard of this

work/Know if it's been published/Know where I can get a copy of the

work if it's been published?
