594 responses - up 21% from last February

I will post a detailed analysis of the BIONEWS readership results
later, but wish to note that the number of responses is up 21% over
the tally last February.  Attempts to estimate the response rate in
the past have put it at around 50% which, if still true, would place
current BIONEWS newsgroup readership at about 1200.  The rate of
growth looks good, but the absolute numbers are still a bit small.
