Previous posting describing "INTERNET."

I am posting to inquire if anyone can send me a copy of a previous posting
describing INTERNET.  The article described, I recall, how INTERNET 
originated, what it is, what it is not, how it's maintained, etc.  As I 
have only begun using this medium a short time ago, I thought I'd best keep 
a copy of this article on hardcopy (hindsight!!!).  I would appreciate if 
someone can send me a copy, since I'm not all too familiar with extracting 
files via FTP (but I'm trying).
