Anyone know about MD programs for PhDs?

Hello,
 
I was wondering if anyone has any information concerning
MD programs for people who have PhDs and research experience?
I would be interested in any information about condensed
degree programs and special fellowships. I have a friend who
has a PhD, has been working in research for several years and is
considering returning to school, possibly medical school.
