I am a computer science graduate student at Northern
Illinois University. I don't posses a strong biology background, so
please excuse my lack of appropriate scientific vocabulary in the area.
I am currently conducting some reasearch with Dr. H. J. Jeffrey of the
Computer Science department, involving his Chaos Game Representation (CGR)
of DNA sequences. More information on this subject can be found in the
paper by Dr. Jeffrey, titled "Chaos Game Representation of Genetic
Sequences," published in the "Nucleic Acids Research," Vol. 18, No. 8,
pp. 2163-2170.

I am specifically looking for DNA sequences that are known to
be normal (free of cancer for example), and similar sequences of the
same thing, that are known to contain abnormalities. It is my goal to
compare such sequences using CGR.

If you are unable to help me, please feel free to forward this
message to the appropriate person.

	I thank you in advance.
