NURSING: info request for project

I am a nursing student attending school in Victoria, BC, Canada.  I am
currently researching a project on Nursing throughout the world.  I am
interested in obtaining any information regarding recruitment,
prerequisites, wages, standards of living, the role of the nurse, and
any other information that you can offer.

In addition, if you know of any alternative methods I can use in my
research (i.e. ftp sites, newsgroups, etc.), please let me know.
