For those of you who have not yet participated in
BIO-INFO/bionet.info-theory, you are missing what is probably the most
successful BIOSCI/bionet scientific specialty group yet.  Tom
Schneider and friends have provided us with an excellent example of
how electronic newsgroups can be used for technical discussions of
*ideas* in biology, not just experimental methods.  If we had more
discussion leaders with this level of enthusiasm and commitment on
some of the other BIOSCI/bionet newsgroups, then the whole system
would truly take off.  Thanks for your help, Tom!!
