False paternity can be extremely high.  One survey I know of showed that
around 20% of women attending an infertility clinic who became pregant
were not actually pregnant to their legitimate partner/husband.  In some
UK cities the documented false paternity rate can be up around 30-40% 
These data are not usually discussed in all the psychobabble about
"finding your roots".  Source data available if you are interested: email
