What's in a name? CFD on BNFNET-l (fwd)

The 8 character limit only applies to the naming conventions for 
list names on LISTSERV. There are no such restrictions when naming
usenet newsgroups so n2fixation would be OK, as would bnfnet.

It might be simple if the names were just kept similar in both cases.

USENET:    bionet.biology.bnfnet
E-MAIL:    BNFNET-L

That way most of the people on the original BNFNET-L would not have
to remember any new names. Simplicity. We have grown accustomed to
bnfnet so why not just stick with it.
