Info Needed on Recent Biotech developments

HI,
	I am a student at MBS. Background is in biology, but I graduated in 
1988 - so slightly (sic) out of date.
	I wish to write my dissertation on one of the following:
	- biotech & its effect on the agchem seeds business, strategies that 
the big Co's are using, & products etc...
	- HIV & biotech, strategies & postions of the large pharma co's re: 
the search for the "cure" / treatments.
	- strategies used by the Japanese co's / govt ti gain western 
Biotech knowledge. for this I need an idea of how/ who they are sponsoring. 
The way that Univ. depts go about setting up themselves as co's. Patent 
protection problems.

	What would help me is lists of articles, of general overview of the 
recent products / reasearch findings. Involvement of pharma/ agchem co's in 
the field.
	HIV treatments going through FDA trials. What is the trend? Who is 
following what methodologies.
	I am particularly interested in the diagnostics field.

	Please help, presently lost. Also I would welcome readers opinions 
on which of the 3 above would be the easiest to research / pursue. My 
deadline is March 31st. (EEeek)
