A request for techniques: I'm currently trying to break open slime mold spores to extract pigment. My latest method is freezing at -70 C and grinding with sea-sand, a method suggested by someone who regularly extracts DNA from pollen. Any other ideas out there? Andrea Habura Dept. of Biology, RPI
