There are also demonstrated closed circular ds DNA circles in C. elegans, see
paper in Nature by Rose and Snutch 1984-85 this DNA was derived from the
Tc1 inverted repeat type transposable element.  I assume other elements
of this type produce closed circular ds DNA also.
