Sordaria, crossing over

Hi!
 
 Using Sordaria fimicola (a species of ascomycete), I would like to
 determine how often crossing over occurs between a wild type of Sordaria
 and a mutant tan type of Sordaria.

  Does anyone know if this would work, and if so, could you tell me what
  the percent of crossing over that occured between these two types of
  Sordaria was?  (has anyone done this and could provide me their results?)
