Detection of hydrogen producing bacteria

Hi,

I am trying to develop a method to specifically detect bacterial
colonies on agar plates or in solution that produce molecular hydrogen.
Using PMS and tetrazolium salts is not specific enough since this
also detects NADH which is found in all cells. It would be useful if
the reduced product precipitated and thus not diffuse throughout the agar.
Anyone have any ideas?
