A good place to start looking for this sort of information is one of
the many gopher sites dedicated to cancer research (names and addresses
of gopher sites provided):

* Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA
   gopher.dfci.harvard.edu

* Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
   gopher.fhcrc.org

* IST National Institute for Cancer Research, Genova
   istge.ist.unige.it

* National Cancer Center, Tokyo, Japan
   gopher.ncc.go.jp

* NCI Cancer Information for Physicians and Patients
Access this by typing, for instance for the unix client,

   gopher -p "M techinfo.dfci.harvard.edu 9000 296 pdq" farber.harvard.edu 71

* NUS-NCI CancerNet, Singapore
   biomed.nus.sg

* University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
   utmdacc.uth.tmc.edu

Also have a look at Lee Hancock's "Internet/Bitnet Health Sciences Resources"
an excellent summary of these sorts of resources. From Lee's document:

"This document is available via ftp from ftp.sura.net in the directory
/pub/nic as the file medical.resources.xx-xx. xx-xx represents the
date of the release. It's updated it 4-5 times a year. For the most
recent files telnet or Gopher to KUFacts, (ukanaix.cc.ukans.edu) and
login as kufacts. Look under Internet ToolBox >>> Internet Health
Science Resources. These are updated frequently."
