Notification of Date Change : Convocation on Scientific Conduct
The Officers of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy
of Engineers, and Institute of Medicine will hold a "Convocation on
Scientific Conduct" June 6-7, 1994. Please disregard mailings or
notices with earlier dates for this event.

The Officers of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), National
Academy of Engineering, and Institute of Medicine are holding a
convocation on responsible conduct in science. Participants will
examine currents efforts of the government, universities, and the
scientific community to encourage responsible scientific conduct
and will identify strategies to maintain high ethical standards
in the future.
The meeting will be held, free of charge, in the NAS Auditorium.
The tentative schedule is June 6, 8am to 5:30pm, and June 7, 8am to 12pm.
Registration begins at 8am each day. Agendas will be available at that
time. To attend, mail or fax (202-334-1687) your name, address, affiliation,
phone and fax number to Scott Spaulding, Room NAS 352, National Academy of
Sciences, 2101 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20418, before

is no parking available. The NAS Building is a 10 minute walk from the
Foggy Bottom Metro Station. An NAS Shuttle runs frequently between the
two locations (7:45am, 7:55am, 8:25am, 8:40am...)
