Looking for databases of biological images?

Dear Bionauts,

I am looking for a source of digitised biological/ biomedical pictures for
teaching purposes. Does anyone know of any picture file database on the Net
with this type of material? Alternatively are there any CD-ROMs available?

I would like to be able to open the files on a Mac or PC, edit and/or
annotate them and then output them for use either with an OHP, or slides.

Any ideas?
