[meaning teaching biologists to be newsgroup administrators]
I would hope that NSF's intention was to take the burden OFF of biologists
so that they could do biology and BIOSCI could do the computing. AS it is
now, bionet is a service for biologists to use to learn more about biology.
The biology aspects are certainly do-it-yourself, but the fact that the
administration is not sets it apart from sci.bio, and I think that makes it
more valuable to the users.
