I suffered a "spontaneous retrovitreal detachment" about twp years ago,
Kicking up huge numbers of floaters that my doctor said had been lying
about on the bottom of my eye. They've calmed down over time, but I
still see them quite readily when working with microscopes for some
reason. Makes it difficult for me when trying to demonstrate things
like bacterial motility to my students because I ALWAYS see things
moving around under the scope.
