On your definition "a gene is defined as all cis-acting nucleic acid
sequences required for the production of functional RNA"
is commendable. I must admit I looked over some genes
and applied my definition to the majority. I really like your 
definition because of its simpicity and wide specrtum of
coverage. 				Mark the humble:)
