Cisplatinum bound DNA

Assessment of cisplatinum bound DNA through atomic absorptions

Is it feasible? Could anyone give us more info on this, ie any
papers you know of. We are using phenol Chloroform extraction, then 
resuspension of DNA, and then flameless atomic absorption to assess the
amount of cisplatinum bound DNA.
*ANY* information on this would be very welcome!!!
