Update - Director - Shoals Marine Laboratory

The Division of Biological Sciences at Cornell University invites applications
for the Bartels Director of the Shoals Marine Laboratory (SML). SML, a shared
venture with the University of New Hampshire, is primarily a teaching program
located on Appledore Island in the Gulf of Maine.  The appointment will be made
at any level, including full Professor with tenure, in an appropriate academic
unit on Cornell's main campus.  The Director should be a respected scientist
with broad interests in the marine sciences and a strong commitment to
undergraduate education.  A candidate is sought with a notable record of
academic achievement and administrative experience, and a demonstrated
potential to provide effective leadership and carry on an active research
program. The Director will be responsible for administering academic programs,
will serve as liaison with the University of New Hampshire, and will be
involved with fundraising. Qualified candidates should submit a curriculum
