EXTOXNET - EXTension TOXicology NETwork
A cooperative effort of UCD, OSU, MSU, and CU.
Primary files maintained and archived at Oregon State University.
WHAT KINDS OF INFORMATION ARE PROVIDED BY EXTOXNET?
Various types of toxicology information are (or soon will be)
available from ALMANAC and GOPHER at Oregon State University. These
include: discussions of toxicological issues of concern; toxicology
newsletters; other resources for toxicology information; toxicology
fact sheets; Pesticide Information Profiles (PIPs); and Toxicology
Information Briefs (TIBs). In addition, various closed mailing groups
will be established for EXTOXNET participants to facilitate
communication and response to requests for information.
HOW DOES ONE RETRIEVE INFORMATION FROM EXTOXNET?
Information may be retrieved by sending a simple email message
to the ALMANAC Information Server developed by the Oregon State
University Extension Computer Support Group. ALMANAC, in turn, mails
the information back to the requestors' email address. For those with
a real-time connection to the Internet, information can be viewed and
selectively retrieved by the use of GOPHER or a World Wide Web (WWW)
client. Brief instructions on the use of these methods to retrieve
EXTOXNET information are given below:
ALMANAC access:
